Good Morning Everyone!

Another round of Barclays Premier League, just two days after the games on Sunday. We would be able to enjoy four of the games today, and four of the games tomorrow. Some of the team are going to play on Thursday their final group stage games in Europa League, so they’ll miss this round. From the top of my head I can recall Everton and Fulham.

Now let’s take a look at the games that are going to be today!

Sunderland v Aston Villa 15/12/2009 19:45 GMT
Manchester United v Wolverhampton 15/12/2009 20:00 GMT
Bolton v West Ham 15/12/2009 20:00 GMT
Birmingham v Blackburn 15/12/2009 20:00 GMT

Alright, let’s get down to business and look over the statistics of each game and then analyze them. Starting with Sunderland v Aston Villa. These two teams have played 8 times in the past 10 years on Sunderland’s Stadium of Light, from which 3 of the games are ties, 2 victories and 3 losses. The last two losses were recorded this year, when Sunderland lost with 1:3 and 1:2. So far Sunderland are in Top10 of the table, and if they want to keep up with the rest, they would need at least a tie here.

Aston Villa on the other hand is doing wonderful this year. After their victory over Manchester United this weekend, they self-esteem must have hit the sky. They are two points away from Arsenal and will do everything possible to stay in the Top 4 this year, since it looks like Liverpool is not gonna make it. Since both teams haven’t had a draw game in almost 3 years I would go for the draw here. The odds are great around 3.20 and the risk/reward ratio is worth it. An away victory or home victory is just to hard to predict since the game can go either way, and with average odds of 2.30-50 I wouldn’t take the risk to play those two. Play them in a system of 5 or 6 draw games, where you would need to get at least 2 correct matches.

You would wanna play those with the minimum stake of 0.50 EUR/USD/GBP and the higher the odds for a draw on game, the less games you need to have correct, the bigger the profit.

Next on our list is Manchester United v Wolverhampton. I am sure you all saw the game between United and Villa. Now that United are 3 points away from Chelsea they would want this victory more than ever. In the same time, Wolverhampton, tripped Tottenham, with an away victory with the minimal 0:1. The question is, can they do it again 2 days later on Old Trafford? Give me your response in the comment section below! Personally I doubt it, for two reasons. First one is statistics. Both teams have played 4 times, two of which are for Carling Cup. United have won 3 times and lost once, back in 2004.

The second reason,is I seriously doubt United to let two home defeats in 2 days apart. This will jeopardize their way for the first place this year most like, and against a team on the bottom of the table. However what can we bet on, since the odds are just ridiculous for a home win! Around 1.14…… who would wanna play that? Looking over the statistics I would go for the Under 2.5 Goals in the game with the average odds of 2.25! Or will find 4 more games, that are more likely to end up draw, and add this one just in case with the minimum stake of 0.50 EUR/USD/GBP, then cover 2 or 3 games that might not end up tied. This way you wont beat yourself to death if the game actually turns out a draw, and with an odd of 6.50 who would wanna miss this.

Next are Bolton v West Ham. The battle of the bottom teams in the red zone, hoping for the 3 points to move out of it. Looking over the statistics seems like Bolton has advantage, with 4 wins out of the last 4 games in the past two years between the two. Actually West Ham has only 2 draws and everything else is losses as a guest! But again Villa didn’t have a win on Old Trafford in 26 years… how’s that for a statistic. Personally I would go here for the home victory and wouldn’t think about it twice.

Last but not least is the game between Birmingham v Blackburn. Seems that these two teams beat each other depending on who’s playing at home. In the past 15 games, both teams keep on winning as long as they play at home. Birmingham is in a great shape this year, holding the 8th place, right behind Liverpool. If they actually win today, they might be able to get ahead of them, even if it’s just for the night! I will go with the statistic here and pick a home win for Birmingham.
