Free Football Predictions And Analysis – Barclays Premier League January 30th 2010

After what I can only refer to as “the boring” games on Tuesday and Wednesday, we are up for a great weekend of English Premier League. If any of you sports bettors are ready to place your wagers, wait up and read the analysis first, then make up your mind.
As I have said it before, sports betting requires a lot of analysis and statistics. Be sure to go around and read people’s analysis, just don’t take in consideration their outcome suggestion.
This will be actually your part, to make up a decision on the outcome of a given match.
But reading different analysis will give you the opportunity to spot something you might have missed otherwise.
But enough talking let’s focus on the games offered to us today:
Birmingham v Tottenham 30/01/2010 15:00 GMT
Hull v Wolverhamptonn 30/01/2010 15:00 GMT
Fulham v Aston Villa 30/01/2010 15:00 GMT
Liverpool v Bolton 30/01/2010 15:00 GMT
Wigan v Everton 30/01/2010 15:00 GMT
West Ham v Blackburn 30/01/2010 15:00 GMT
Burnley v Chelsea 30/01/2010 17:30 GMT
Birmingham v Tottenham : Two teams with great history, that have played against each other 12 times in the past 10 years. Four wins for the team of Birmingham, two draw games and 6 victories for Tottenham. However out of the 5 visits, Tottenham only got a win, two ties and two losses.
Seems like both teams will need the three points here. Birmingham wants to stay close to the top 7 teams to have a chance to get in the groups for League Europa, and Tottenham wants to keep that 4th spot to qualify for Champion’s League rounds next year.
Based on Birmingham’s strong defense my predictions for this game would be Under 2.5 Goals. For the risk takes, I would suggest going with the draw here, since Birmingham seems to be able to stop the Top 4 teams at home with scores likes 0:0 and 1:1. If they were good enough to tie on Chelsea and Manchester United, they definitely got the potential to tie on Tottenham.
Hull v Wolverhampton: These two have met enough to know each other well, however not in the Premiership, but in Championship. Both teams are at the bottom of the table, Hull in the red zone with 19 points and the Wolves a spot above the red zone with just a point more.
You understand that both teams desperately need the 3 points to move up as far as possible. Hull has played at home 3 games against Wolverhampton, lost the first one back in 2006,but then won the next two in 2006 and 2007. Their home record this year is 4 wins 3 draws and 3 losses and seems that most of them 19 points came out of the home games.
Wolverhampton’s away record is 2 wins 2 draws and 6 losses. They might have bit of a self-esteem boost after being able to tie Liverpool at home, but as you see their away record is something that they have to improve.
My prediction for this game would be a home victory for Hull City and moving out of the red zone.
Fulham v Aston Villa: Long history here, 17 games in 9 years. Villa without a win when visiting Fulham since 2004. Villa has somewhat a mediocre away record with 4 wins 3 draws and 3 losses. Did well shutting Arsenal at home and walked away with the point. However they fell back on the 7th spot as for now, and if they want a piece of action for the 4th spot they need the 3 points.
Fulham generally plays strong at home. The 0:0 against Tottenham at home and the 3:0 against Manchester United, speaks for itself. They do seem to have trouble when visiting, that’s why winning points at home is crucial. Home record of 6 wins 2 draws and 2 losses, seems good enough compared to the away 1 win 4 draws and 7 losses.
My prediction would be a home victory for Fulham, based on their home stats and the fact that Villa has lost 2 games and tied 3 since 2004 visiting.
Liverpool v Bolton: 18 games in 9 years, only 3 wins for Bolton, 2 at home and one away, that date back in 2004. Liverpool with 6 consecutive wins at home year after year seems a good reason to go with the home win, but looking over the odds and Liverpool’s past performance who will be willing to risk money on something that might turn into a failure.
Home record of 7 wins 2 draws and 2 losses sure seems tempting especially matched to the away record of Bolton 2 wins 2 draws and 5 losses. My prediction for this game would be Over 2.5 Goals looking over the past wins with 3:0, 4:0, 3:0.
Wigan v Everton: Everton won both games in 2009, but both were at home. Wigan with a home record of 3 wins 3 draws and 3 losses seems to be inconsistent with the results they get. Everton with an away record of 2 wins 3 draws and 5 losses sure has something to work on.
My prediction for this game would be a draw between the two.
West Ham v Blackburn: Long history between these two teams, 15 games in the last 10 years. 8 home games for West Ham and 8 victories, what can you say about that, a perfect home record versus Blackburn.
The team has been struggling however this year, having only 20 points and being very very close to the red zone. Home record of 3 wins 3 draws and 4 losses seems good enough when matched to Blackburn’s away record of 1 win 2 draws and 8 losses.
My prediction for this game would be a home victory for West Ham.
Burnley v Chelsea: Almost no history between the two, one home victory for Chelsea with 3:0 in 2009 and a victory for Burnley in 2008 in Carling Cup game.
Burnley has an awesome home record of 5 wins 4 draws and only 1 loss. Just look at the scores against the top teams 1:0 against United, 1:0 against Everton, 1:1 against Villa,Fulham and Arsenal. The question here is can they trip Chelsea as well and get at least a point?
My prediction for this game would be Under 2.5 Goals! If you are more of a risk taker, and love taking the high odds like me go with the draw. Betfair.com offers odds of 5.70 for it.
All right sports bettors, tipsters and sports betting fans, now you are ready to make up your mind and bet on your games. Good luck with your matches today and have a wonderful day.
