Sports Betting Pick and Analysis for English Premier League Sunday January 17th

Epic fail on my football picks today! I missed all three, two in England and one in Spain. I hope other sports bettors have had better luck and have been more accurate!
I am stumped with the amount of surprising results today in the EPL. Tottenham didn’t have a draw at home until today, seemed logical that they would continue doing well at home, but oh well they tied with Hull.
The biggest disappointment for the night, at least for me is Liverpool. I think that at this point they should forget about being in the Top 4. Obviously they are far far far away from the shape they were in last year. Even the bookmakers started realizing that. If you notice until today, usually the odds for Liverpool were around 1.5 even when they were playing away.
However they had around 2.20 for a victory today, which didn’t happen. I am thinking that the low performance will not end here, and they will keep on striking out.
Wolverhampton, where very unfortunate to get a red card and that pretty much ended the game once they were lead by Wigan with 0:1. Although Wigan got a red card as well, soon after it they scored a 2nd goal which brought them the sure victory.
Man United seemed to be struggling the first half, as well the first 10 minutes of the 2nd half. But after the first goal, they just picked up the pace and scored 2 more.
Chelsea was superb today. I was doubting their skills without Drogba, but they proved me wrong by leading 4:0 on half-time, and ending the game with the result of 7:2
Interesting Saturday, but let’s look up to the Sunday, and see if it’s going to bring us the same amount of joy. The games for today are:
Aston Villa v West Ham 17/01/2010 13:30 GMT
Blackburn v Fulham 17/01/2010 15:00 GMT
Bolton v Arsenal 17/01/2010 16:00 GMT
The first game for Sunday is Aston Villa v West Ham .The last time these two played on April 11th 2009 West Ham was able to steal the win at home with 2:1. However if we exclude this game the stats seem pretty bad. Out of 20 games they have 9 draws , 2 wins and 9 losses! Their last away victory against Villa was in 2006.
Aston Villa for a first time this season, has lost twice in a row, from Arsenal and Liverpool. Would they be able to stop this today? I am not really sure. I do believe they will go for the win, as well as West Ham, and the large number of draw games makes me wonder if the game wont end a tie. Looks like the last time these two played in Birmingham they did finish with the score of 1:1
My prediction would be a draw game! The odds seem nice to be played and it’s a reasonable prediction.
Blackburn v Fulham 17/01/2010 15:00 GMT are the match for today. Both team have played a lot versus each other a lot of time and know each other very well for sure.By looking over the statistics seems like Fulham hasn’t been able two win both games in the same season for over a decade. Blackburn on the other hand has done that in two seasons.
Fulham won the last game at home on November 25th 2009 with 3:0, but can they do it again away? Blackburn is a good host and did very well this week against Villa, although they lost, they missed a lot of chances to turn the game around. A draw at home versus Liverpool also shows that they have what it takes to play well at home.
My prediction would be a home win for Blackburn, I believe they are disappointed with the loss earlier this week and will try to get theirs today.
The last game for the day from the English Premier League is Bolton v Arsenal 17/01/2010 16:00 GMT. The gunners are facing a problem with injuries. It’s still unclear if Fabregas would be able to start the game yet. The last time Bolton had a success over Arsenal was in 2006. In the same time Arsenal are in a great shape, with a game less than Manchester United and two points away.
They would want to keep on winning to be able to get ahead of United and be on the 2nd spot when the total number of games equalizes. My prediction for this game would be a draw game, although I realize the power of Arsenal. The away win odds are just not worth it here, and I do feel that the draw can be a logical outcome here.
I know that today’s picks might seem illogical, but seems like this round is pretty illogical as a whole so far
. Thank you for your time, good luck betting today an have a wonderful day.
