Lyon
Lyon also started the season well with 3 victories and 1 draw. The team managed to reach the semi-finals in Champions League season 2009-10 where they had to face Bayern Munich and lost both games. Last year the team reached Round of 16 where they faced Real Madrid (as 2 times before, where they advanced to quarter-finals) however this time, they did not manage to eliminate the Spanish grand. The team had to go through the Champions League play-off round, where they beat Rubin Kazan at home with 3:1 and ended 1:1 in Russia. Back in 2002-03, Lyon met Ajax, losing both games 1:2 away and 0:2 at home.
Predictions
Despite the victory here from 2002 with 2:1, Ajax cannot be appointed for a sure favorite. The odds look pretty tied up, 2.30 for a home victory, 3.40 for a draw and 3.10 for an away victory. (bet365)
Both teams seem equally good so I am expecting the match to go either way. My prediction however, a minimal victory for Ajax.
