The quarter finals of the Carling Cup are here Arsenal will face at home Wigan.

Recently Arsenal has had trouble at home, losing home games to Newcastle and Tottenham ( what an irony ), which might give Wigan and encouragement that they can actually win this game.
If the Gunners eliminate Wigan, they will become the first team that has reached the semi-finals of Carling Cup 14 times. Twenty four hours later, Aston Villa will have the same opportunity against Birmingham, in the Birmingham derby.

Wigan so far hasn’t met another team from the Premier League in Carling Cup and has eliminated Hartlepool, Preston and Swansea. This is their best run, since that win over Arsenal in 2006 with 1:0 to reach the final (semi-finals are in 2 legs, Wigan advances even after that loss of 2:1 with an away goal)
Arsenal has met Wigan twice at home in this competition before, and has won both times, 3:0 and 2:1.
Given that the odds for Arsenal are miserable, and the chances for a draw or away victory here are very slim, I think we should go for something like Under/Over Goals bet. Judging by the amount of goals Arsenal has scored in the previous rounds of Carling Cup as well as the amount of goals Wigan has score I think it’s only logical to be searching for an Over prediction.
