No real surprises today in Premiership.

What was expected to happen, happened, for the joy of all football punters.

The battle for the 4th spot remains between Manchester City and Tottenham, while Aston Villa and Liverpool will fight for the last spot for LE.

The thing ironic today, or at least I found it that way, was Portsmouth winning at home.

So much will in this team, despite its faith, to end the season well.

While we had the battle of the 4th spot today, the battle for the tittle will be tomorrow:

Liverpool v Chelsea 02/05/2010 13:30 BST
Fulham v West Ham 02/05/2010 15:00 BST
Sunderland v Manchester United 02/05/2010 16:00 BST

Liverpool v Chelsea: The match of the day in Premiership, something all of your betting folks would wanna focus on. A lot can be said here, a lot of statistics can be brought up. However I will keep it very short and very simple.

Chelsea, must win if they want to be 100% sure that they will get the title this year. In the same time, it’s official that Liverpool’s season was a disaster, and they might even fall off the spots for LE.

Having said this, I think it’s not everyday you see odds for Chelsea so high, when we add up their determination, and Liverpool’s current shape, I think it’s worth the risk to put some cash on the team from London.

Prediction: “Chelsea – away victory”    Odds: 1.86    Bookmaker: Betfair.com

Fulham v West Ham: Here they are, the LE finalists playing one of their last season games before the big final in Hamburger against the Atletico Madrid.
I am thinking that their fans will come tomorrow on the stadium just to cheer up for their favorite team and in the same time Fulham will try to make them happy with a win.

Zola’s West Ham on the other hand was able to save itself from going down to Championship next year, and they will be in the elite next year as well. What’s ironic here is that Fulham has no victories on home ground in the past 10 years against West Ham.

Most of the game have ended either 0:0 or 0:1, so a minimum amount of goals can be expected tomorrow as well.

Prediction: “Under 2.5 Goals”    Odds: 1.84    Bookmaker: Betfair.com

Sunderland v Manchester United: What can I say, this is the other match, where one of the teams has no room for a mistake. United must win the game in order to keep pressure on Chelsea, and hope the team from London to either slip tomorrow against Liverpool, or in their final game.

Sunderland’s last victory at home against the red devils, has been in year 2000, long long ago. I am expecting an open game, with United looking for the goal from the first minute.

Prediction: “Manchester United – away victory”    Odds: 1.43    Bookmaker: Betfair.com
