English Premier League Weekend Round

Good morning to all UK football bettors, gamblers, tipsters and everyone else that has decided to visit me.

A sunny and somewhat warm Saturday, perfect for some time outside.

Wish me luck I got an amateur football tournament today which hopefully we will win.

You know what time it is now, it’s analysis and predictions time for the EPL.

Let’s take a look at the games that we will review today:

Aston Villa v Wolverhampton 20/03/2010 12:45 GMT
Stoke v Tottenham 20/03/2010 15:00 GMT
Everton v Bolton 20/03/2010 15:00 GMT
Portsmouth v Hull 20/03/2010 15:00 GMT
Sunderland v Birmingham 20/03/2010 15:00 GMT
Wigan v Burnley 20/03/2010 15:00 GMT
Arsenal v West Ham 20/03/2010 17:30 GMT

Aston Villa v Wolverhampton: In the battle for the 4th spot, Villa has the advantage with 28 played games, compared to the Tottenham’s 29 and Liverpool’s 30. A victory today will bring them up with 52 points, and tie them on the 4th spot with Tottenham. Manchester City are in the same position with 28 played games, however are only 2 points away from the 4th spot and a victory tomorrow will bring them 1 point ahead and of course send the on spot #4.

Enough theory though, let’s look at the stats of both teams playing today. Villa with a sloppy home record of 7 victories, 5 draws and 2 losses, and Wolverhampton with even worse away record of 3 wins 3 draws 8 losses.

Don’t forget as the season is to its end, the teams from the lower half of the table get very very competitive for every point they can get. So be careful what you are betting on. Might wanna forget for now those 1 X 2 bets and go with Under/Over , Both Teams To Score and something like that.

My prediction for this game based on the statistics of the past games and results will be Under 2.5 Goals @ 1.96. Where else if not in Betfair. Register at Betfair Now

Stoke v Tottenham: With a home record of Stoke City with 6 wins 5 draws and 4 losses and away record of Tottenham 5 wins 5 draws and 4 losses this game looks pretty tied.

These two teams have played a total of 3 games in two years, where Stoke has been a host once and a guest twice and has won 2 out of the 3 games, which is impressive. Looking at the home results versus teams from the Top 4-7 seems like Stoke pretty much ends tied. A 0:0 against Villa and a 1:1 against Manchester City.

My prediction would be a draw game here as well @ 3.40 : Register at Betfair Now

Everton v Bolton: Long history between these two. Out of 8 home games Everton has won 5 of them, lost 2 and tied 1. The good news for Bolton is that they are familiar with what it’s like to win away versus Everton. The bad news is that they have not done it since 2005.

That’s right since 2005 Bolton has lost all away games and has been able to win 1 home game and draw one home game. The other 5 are all losses. With Everton’s shape improving from game to game it would be quite hard for a surprise today.

Everton’s home record 8 wins 5 draws 2 losses versus Bolton’s away record 3 wins 3 draws 9 losses tip the scale in favor of the host.

Last 4 home games for Everton show 4 wins so I am likely to go today for the home win. Odds of 1.54 at Betfair Register Now

Portsmouth v Hull: Three direct games between the two, 3 draws. With Portsmouth announcement of going bankrupt, the team had to loose 9 points so now they have only 10, which will send them to Championship next year for sure.

In the same time the team of Hull still has 0 victories away from Home, and it’s taking a spot right above Portsmouth. If they can get a win away, today is the day for sure. With Portsmouth unknown future and problems, it’s hard for their players to concentrate at all, and we saw that in the game with Liverpool.

However as I said, teams from the lower half of the table get very competitive in the end of the season so a 1 X 2 is hard to predict. Personally I believe, that Hull will be able to achieve a victory here today, but I wouldn’t bet on it.

My prediction for this game would be Under 2.5 Goals based on the their last two games that ended 0:0 . Odds @ 1.90 Register at Betfair Now
