English Premier League Weekend Round

So what has happened just 5 rounds before the end of the season?

Well to be honest, a lot of strange this in my opinion.

First it was strange enough that 3 out of the 4 games yesterday, finished 0-0, something I haven’t seen in a while.

Second, Manchester United has literally tripped, against Blackburn, and depending on Arsenal’s and Chelsea’s performance, things can get ugly for them.

The first spot can get “very” far away from them although 4pts is not that much, but for the end of the season it is.

Arsenal has the easiest program from them all, and I will not be surprised if they keep winning until the last round.

So what can we expect in betting terms in the next few weeks? First, a strong performance from the top 3 teams while they battle for the first spot. A strong performance from teams 4 to 7 as they battle for the 4th spot. A strong performance from the teams in the red zone as they try to stay in the Premiership next year as well.

From what I can see, Liverpool is already 6 points behind the 4th with a match more, and in case Manchester City wins the next one they will be 9pts ahead. Thus Liverpool has almost 0% chance getting the 4th spot. Based on that I am expecting them to put efforts only in Europa league, since that’s the only way to finish “well” the catastrophic season.

Burnley was able to achieve their first away victory, over their direct competitor in the red zone Hull City. The question is can Burnley manage to stay in Premier League? As a betting hint, I would advise you to keep on eye on them. After all they were the surprise of the season, being able to take a lot of points from the top teams at home.

Stay tuned for more analysis and predictions tomorrow, when Chelsea will meet Bolton, and will have the chance to increase their lead to 4 points.
