After the great game we had a chance to watch last night, I hope we are going to have a similar show tonight as well.

As I mentioned from the post below this one, there are certain trends that have formed for this tournament, which might be interesting for all football bettors.

One of them is that there are a lot of goals this year in Champions leagues in each and every game, than before. And home teams tend to grab the victory.

Along with the Semi-Final there’s a game from the Premier League today, so I will include that on my discussion list as well:

Bayern Munich v Lyon 21/04/2010 19:45 BST

Hull v Aston Villa 21/04/2010 19:45 BST

Bayern Munich v Lyon: As I am reading the football forums, seems like both teams have a lot of fans that are sure that each team will kill the other today. I am a neutral fan, and will not jump into any conclusions, but I will reveal the statistics for you.

Let’s first take a look at the technical analysis and then go for the fundamental one. Bayern and Lyon have met a total of 6 times, where Lyon has won 2 of the games tied 2 and lost 2 as well.

Both Teams have been able to score in the past 4 games between the two. What’s interesting is that Lyon won the away game and tied the other, while they lost at home. So looking over the numbers it seems that both teams have equal chances.

Here’s what we can expect tonight. The team of Lyon has traveled to Germany via train, which will lead to an exhaustion in my opinion and I personally think this was the case last night with Barcelona as well.

In the same time manager Van Gaal had to go home on Monday, on his mother’s funeral, while one of his most talented players Frank Ribery was involved in a sex scandal and it’s clearly affecting his performance.

Personally I will stick with the facts that there are a lot of goals this year in Champions League, that usually the home team grabs the victory and that the last 4 games between these two great teams have ended with both teams scoring.

Hull v Aston Villa : A very interesting game between these two in England. Villa has a chance to raise to the 6th spot with a point more than Liverpool. After a lousy game against Portsmouth in the first half, the team from Birmingham was able to turn the score over to 1:2 and get those needed 3 points.

They need a victory today as well if they want to play in Europa League next year. Hull City on the other hand also needs the 3 points here in order to equalize with West Ham and have a slight chance to survive in Premiership for next year as well. Their home record is quite impressive for a team in the bottom of the table, 6 wins 5 draws and 5 losses.

However, beating Villa isn’t as easy as it sounds. Both teams have played 4 times and Hull have lost all 4 games. All four games have ended with only one of the teams scoring and 3 out of those 4 have ended Under 2.5 Goals.

So as you see you have a lot of logical bets here, starting from an away victory for Villa, to Only one team or neither will score.
