Offsides? Worry No more!

Sepp Blatter, the FIFA president has decided that it might be time to throw out the offside rule from football.

He has met recently with Hockey president Leandro Negre, and has questioned him about the affect of this decision, since hockey made that step already.

You gotta agree that offsides are usually one of the biggest issues in todays football.

Let’s look at the Pros and Cons if offsides never existed:

Pros:
- less stress on the referees and not calling offsides will make their job a lot easier
- slower forwards can now stay closer to the goal, without having to worry that their sprint isn’t good enough
- more goals
- less debates

Cons:
- more work for the defense
- change of strategy
- confusion and surprising results at first?

I don’t know I am kind of with Blatter on this one. I am really curious to see how the game will be affected. Teams will have to change their formations and strategies, because it will be all right for an opposite player to behind your last defender.

I wonder if this would affect football betting, since all offside bets would have to be removed. Also if the theory of more goals proves to be right, all odds for Under/Over Goals will be probably changed as well as correct score and etc.

So as you see a simple rule will open up a lot of work for everyone. What do you think? For or Against?
