The annual CES (Consumer Electronics Show) is a major event where some of the most exciting advancements in technology are showcased.
Every year, Las Vegas becomes the hotspot for companies to present their latest and greatest innovations. With the tech world constantly evolving, CES 2025 has been packed with announcements that are set to shape the future of consumer tech.
From powerful new graphics cards to revolutionary gaming devices, here's a look at some of the biggest highlights from this year's show.
Nvidia Unveils the RTX 5000 Series GPUs
One of the most talked-about announcements at CES 2025 came from Nvidia, who revealed their new RTX 5000 Blackwell series of graphics cards. These GPUs include models such as the RTX 5090, RTX 5080, RTX 5070 Ti, and RTX 5070. Nvidia's CEO, Jensen Huang, took to the stage to present these cutting-edge chips, which come with major upgrades like GDDR7 memory and new AI-powered features, such as DLSS 4.

The high-end models, the RTX 5090 and RTX 5080 are set to release at the end of January 2025, with the more affordable RTX 5070 Ti and RTX 5070 arriving later in the year. Nvidia is touting the RTX 5070 as having similar performance to the RTX 4090 in certain titles, thanks to the power of DLSS 4. If these claims hold up, the new cards could offer fantastic value for gamers who want top-tier performance without breaking the bank.

This creates unique, ever-changing boss fights where players must continuously adapt, keeping gameplay fresh and engaging. We made Next’s CEO, Jung Soo Park, emphasized that these AI-driven encounters represent a new era in gaming, offering players an exciting, unpredictable experience with every session.
AMD Responds with the RX 9070 Series GPUs

Not to be outdone, AMD also made waves at CES 2025 with the announcement of their RX 9070 series GPUs. The new lineup includes the RX 9070 XT and RX 9070, which are designed to compete directly with Nvidia's RTX 5070 series. Although AMD did not share pricing or release dates, these chips are expected to pack a punch with their new AI-enhanced upscaling technology, FSR 4, which will be exclusive to the RX 9070 series. This puts AMD in direct competition with Nvidia, offering gamers more options when it comes to graphics power.

I truly see how the entertainment industry opens up so-called new virtual worlds, specifically their depth and complexity. Games are getting closer to cinema and television screens, virtual characters are becoming more lifelike, and chairs and environments are getting more comfortable. There were a few missing large-scale tools for creators at this exhibition, but overall, the WOW effect is present.
