The Champions League draw took place in Monaco, on August 25th 2011 at 17:45 CET. These are the groups that we would have a chance to watch matches from until the end of December:
| Group A | Group B |
| Group C | Group D |
| Group E | Group F |
| Group G | Group H |
A day after the groups were known, bet365 took out their outright odds on who’s going to win the tournament.
Of course Barcelona is appointed as the favorite with odds of 2.87, but remember that there hasn’t been yet a team to win the Champions League twice in a row.
Real Madrid is the other favorite with 5.50, while Manchester United is left third with odds of 7.50. To be honest I expect after the first games, United to climb up to the second spot, as the team has a lot of speed and mobility this year.
Chelsea logically follows with odds of 10.00, something Roman Abramovich might be interested in, as his ultimate goal is to see Chelsea win the CL.
Manchester City sits right after Chelsea, although it’s their first participation in Champions League, odds of 13.00. Bayern Munich and Arsenal have odds of 21.00, but considering Arsenal’s current shape, I expect them to drop lower.
