The second game from Group A, where Inter will have to face at home the team of Werder Bremen, who reached this stage of the tournament after dramatic turn of events against another Italian team Sampdoria.

Inter so far taking the top spot in Serie A in Italy, after an unlucky loss in the 92nd minute this weekend against Roma, as a visitor. The team hasn’t been as effective as last year, but has the ambitions to get out of this group for sure.

After being able to score and lead in the game against Twente, Inter let the Dutch to equalize them, and an own goal from Milito, put them in a position of falling behind. Werder started awfully against Tottenham, losing 0:2 in the 20th minute of the game, but the team was able to concentrate and get to the point.

Inter and Werder have met 4 times in the Champions League, twice in season 2008/9 and twice in season 2004/5, each team got a victory and two draw games.

Here are some interesting facts about both teams:

*Inter are unbeaten in their last seven Champions League games at the San Siro.

*Inter’s win over Bayern in the 2010 Champions League final ended a run of five games without a win against a German side.

*Werder have won just one of their last 14 Champions League away matches.

*Inter have lost only two of their last 14 Champions League matches and both those defeats came away at Barcelona.

*Rafael Benitez has only won one of the last six Champions League matches he’s taken charge of, losing three times and drawing twice.

*Bremen have only lost one of their last 11 matches in European competitions (excluding qualifiers, drawing the last three in a row.

*Bremen have drawn eight and only lost one of their last 12 European matches (excluding qualifiers) away from home.

*Bremen were the last German team to play away against Inter at the San Siro and they drew 1-1 in the 2008-09 Champions League.

The Betting Verdict?

Both teams to score @ 1.82 (The highest odds on the net! Register at Betfair.com – 25£ bonus): Both teams will be eager to score, and hopefully get the 3 points tonight. However the great amount of draws both teams have, against others and each other makes me wonder if the game wont end as a draw at the end. Even better what if the game ends draw in both halves, Draw/Draw has the odds of 7.2
