The late game in the Premier League this Saturday sees Everton travel to Stamford Bridge to take on Chelsea. Even though they are still a work in progress under manager Andres Villas-Boas, Chelsea are right in the title race and are just three points behind the two Manchester clubs. Everton, meanwhile, find themselves in the bottom half of the table in 13th after just taking seven points from six games.

Chelsea certainly haven’t been at their best so far this season but the team is starting to take shape nicely under their new manager. Villas-Boas obviously had a lot of tinkering to do when he first arrived but he seems to now have a good understanding of both his team and the Premier League.
Since losing 3-1 to Manchester United at Old Trafford, Chelsea have won two on the bounce in the league, hammering both Swansea and Bolton with nine goals scored in the games. This looks like the more dominant Chelsea we use to know from seasons past and they are hot on the heels of United and City at the top of the league.

While Chelsea have now won two consecutive games in the league, Everton are coming off two straight losses. They gave a good account of themselves in a 2-0 defeat to Man City and really made Roberto Mancini’s side work for the win, while they also lost 2-0 to Liverpool in the recent Merseyside derby.
David Moyes has a very thin squad to work with this season but he can still put out a good team. They can’t really challenge the big teams but they should comfortably finish in the top half of the table.
Prediction
On Saturday evening it should be an easy victory for Chelsea with the way they are playing at the moment.
The confidence is back in the side and they are starting to find the net with ease. They have won nine of their last 10 at Stamford Bridge and they should turn over this Everton side who are very lightweight upfront. Chelsea don’t offer much value in the match odds so it’s better to pick them in the halftime/fulltime market at 18/19. With the way they have been scoring lately they should be ahead before the break.
