Chelsea started the season with a tie against Stoke City on Britannia stadium, not able to score a goal. If you watched the game, you would have seen that Chelsea’s new manager André Villas-Boas started with Torres and Kalou, and left Drogba and Anelka on the bench. That turned out to be a bad combination, as Torres is still far from optimal shape. I expect the team for this game to be the usual that we used to see last year. Also very convinced that Chelsea will be looking for their first victory of the season, and will make it as convincing as possible.
West Bromwich
West Bromwich wrapped up last season quite well under the command of Roy Hodgson, but stared this season with a loss to Manchester United after a 1:1 on half time. The victory goal came in the 81st minute, and W.B.A can only regret that they weren’t able to hold off a bit longer. Pre-season games had mixed results of 2 victories 2 draws and 2 losses. W.B.A might be a bit unlucky facing the top 2 teams for last year, in the first 2 rounds, but they should get a break next round when they meet Stoke City at home.
