The other game that everyone has their eyes on for Sunday. What has Roberto Martinez made from Wigan?
After coming on the post manager, on June 15 2009 he transformed the team. Although they had some struggle in the beginning of the season, and being around the red zone for quite a while, they will play next year in Premiership again.
Beating Arsenal with 3:2 and Liverpool with 1:0 is quite an achievement and I think the players should be proud no matter what happens on Sunday.
In front of the media Martinez has promised that he and his team will not give an easy game for Chelsea who are supposed to run over them.
Chelsea currently first with just a point ahead of Manchester United has a home record of 16 wins 1 draw and 1 loss. The odds however for a home victory suck badly and no reasonable bettor would even consider them.
What to expect from this game?
I am expecting a very offensive format from Chelsea. Drogba and Anelka on the tip of the offense with Lampard backing them up. Their recent games against teams from the same rank like Wigan have been quite demolishing with a lot of goals.
I expect a big victory here although here’s something interesting that I spotted on Betfair.com. There’s large sum of money stacked on LAY for Chelsea winning the title. Now I am not sure if this is just a lot of United fans, and if it was why wouldn’t they BACK United with the odds of 8.8 but go for the miserable 1.13 on LAY for Chelsea?
My guess here is that someone knows something that the rest of us don’t and is expecting Chelsea to fail in their last game. True or False? Up to you to decide!
Prediction: “Over 3.5 Goals” Odds: 2.02 Bookmaker: Betfair.com
