Good morning folks!

Finally a day of interesting games, after the pause of few days. World Cup 2010 play offs are up for tonight. The last games finished as follows:

Ireland 1:2 France
Portugal 1:0 Bosnia-Herzegovina
Greece 0:0 Ukraine
Russia 2:1 Slovenia
Costa Rica 0:1 Uruguay
Algeria -:- Egypt – will play today

Most of the teams did their job in the first game. However all victories are so minimal with 1 goal difference that nothing is really certain. A simple victory of 2:0 for any of the teams can turn the tables around.

So as you see the teams cannot afford to play for a draw, since it’s a dangerous territory. Often teams playing for a draw get a late goal and then it’s over. So let’s start with Ireland v France. If you had the chance to watch last game between the two teams, you would have seen that both teams were equally strong, but France just made the most out of their opportunities.

Portugal v Bosnia-Herzegovina, I think is pretty clear. Although Portugal never wins with a huge lead, they seem to get theirs.

Greece v Ukraine will probably be the most unclear game tonight. Even though they finished tied in Greece, you never know what might happen in Ukraine. A goal in either goal might mean a ticket to the World Cup 2010.

I haven’t really seen the rest of the games, but I did look over the statistics and I am in favor of Russia and Uruguay. Be sure to check out my daily picks for all of my predictions and their odds.
