Mid-week lacks of games, but instead we have international friendlies, and this is one of the more interesting ones, where England will test their strength against France.
England was supposed to be a sure leader in Group G for Euro2012 qualifiers, but instead Montenegro is topping the group with 4 game and 10 points, while England are second with 3 games and 7 points.
The last game on Wembley, finished 0:0, and Montenegro has the advantage with a game at home.
France on the other hand is first in group D with 4 games and 9 points, followed by Belarus with 4 games and 8 points.
Obviously and England and France have a lot to test this game, since their performances haven’t been convincing enough lately. Both teams have also had a horrible expirience on this year’s World Cup.

England 2-1 Hungary

Five wins in six games speaks well for the team, but that last draw might have changed Capello’s plans. Andy Carroll’s injury which will leave the team with a severe lack of fire power for this game. Still unclear if Capello could count on Peter Crouch and Carlton Cole
Away:
Bosnia 0-2 France
Norway 2-1 France
Tunisia 1-1 France
Rep of Ireland 0-1 France
Serbia 1-1 France
Faroe Islands 0-1 France
Three victories out of six games and the internal problems in the French team keep tearing the team apart. After the scandal during the World Cup 2010, Nicolas Anelka got an enormous ban of 18 international games, which actually might be the end of his international career.
Four other players like Patrice Evra, Frank Ribery and Jeremy Toulalan also received bans but for much less games. Even with them back, the French team is not really a team with so much misconduct and internal problems.
I am guessing that Raymond Domenech will count on new players and will try to see what they got against England in this friendly

France’s new manager is Laurent Blanc who’s first job was to suspend all of the 23 players in the World Cup 2010 as a punishment for the negative events that have occurred in the event. On August 11th in his first game as a manager France lost to Norway in Oslo with 1:2.
Blanc will now have the hard task to rebuild the French team, and the friendly against England seems a good way to test. However despite the manager swap I still believe that Capello and England need a win here.
