Final Featuring NAVI and NAVI Junior: A Unique Story at the Dota 2 PGL Wallachia Season 3 Closed Qualifier

From January 12 to January 15, 2025, the closed qualifiers for one of the biggest Dota 2 tournaments of the year, PGL Wallachia Season 3, are taking place. This stage of the competition features eight teams from each region, with winners—and in some cases, runners-up—securing invitations to the main event. The Eastern Europe Closed Qualifier has brought together highly competitive teams, each demonstrating outstanding gameplay. Among them are Natus Vincere (NAVI), who received a direct invite, and NAVI Junior, who earned their spot through the open qualifiers.

Easy victories for Natus Vincere and NAVI Junior

Both teams started their matches with victories. NAVI defeated One Move, while NAVI Junior triumphed over Virtus.Pro in the first round, advancing to the Upper Bracket Semifinals. These semifinals took place on January 13, 2025, with Natus Vincere facing BanyaPivoSamogon, and NAVI Junior going up against L1GA Team. It’s worth mentioning that both teams had already warmed up well, having participated in the DreamLeague Season 25 qualifiers, where they also delivered strong performances.

Both semifinal matches proved to be relatively easy for the NAVI squads, as they defeated their opponents 2-0, showcasing the level of gameplay expected by their fans. This means that both teams advanced to the Upper Bracket Final, where they will face each other for a spot in the main stage of the tournament. Such a scenario is truly unique: the main roster of a team competing against its junior squad. This match promises to be highly intriguing. Tune in to the broadcast of Natus Vincere vs. NAVI Junior on January 14, 2025, at 18:00 EET, and cheer for your favorite team.

It’s also worth noting that the losing team will drop to the Lower Bracket Final, giving them another chance to fight for a spot at PGL Wallachia Season 3. If they succeed, we might witness yet another rare moment: the main roster and the junior squad both competing in a tournament of such high caliber.
