Welcome to EGamersWorld.
The professional season of Counter-Strike 2 is back on our screens after a short break. We're ready to watch the BLAST Bounty Season 1 tournament, where for the first time in the history of the competitive scene we'll see a new format: teams with low Valve rankings are chosen to face clubs with higher rankings. There's a bounty on the heads of the strong teams, which makes The International much more exciting.
The debut match of the new format in the eѕроrtѕe is the match between FlyQuest and MIBR. Here MIBR chose FlyQuest as their opponent, and the award ѕtunet 15,000 dollars.
We are trying to figure out who of the pair FlyQuest - MIBR will be stronger.
MIBR's form
We open the analysis of the match MIBR - FlyQuest with the analysis of MIBR form. In this match, the Brazilian club will play as favourites with odds to win at 1.8.
In 2023, Long Sogpeg started with an appearance at the Intel Extreme Masters Katowice 2023. At that time, the Brazilians finished in the top 20. Then there were several qualifications, including the IEM Rio Masters 2023. At the Rio itself, they finished Top 16, but before that they won several B-tier tournaments, including ESL Challenger Season 44: North America and CCT North America Series #4.
At the S-tier championships, as unlucky as they were. ESL Pro League Season 17 had a top-28 at ESL Pro League Season 17 and a top-8 at BLAST.tv Paris Major 2023: American RMR, which prevented them from qualifying for the only Major of the season.
- Composition mibr: exit, insani, drop, saffee, lucaozy.
Prior to the ESL Pro League Season 18, mibr attended a number of other tournaments. ESL Challenger League Season 45, followed by Top 1 there. But at CCT North Europe Series #6, CCT Online Finals #2 and Gamers8 2023 the successes were more modest: TOP-5-8 and TOP-16 respectively.
In the first match of ESL Pro League Season 18, mibr faced MOUZ, the only match of the first round that didn't end in favour of the favourite, as the Brazilians managed to flick MOUZ 2-1.
In the match to qualify for the play-offs, Mibr met ENCE. Despite the different weight classes, the Brazilian five gave ENCE serious competition: two matches ended on dopas (18-22 on Vertigo in favour of ENCE and 19-17 on Anubis), but on Ancient the Brazilians were edged 11-16, thus falling to the lower net.
In the previous match, MIBR played against Ukrainian club Monte. Not without problems, but MIBR closed the series with the score 2-1 in their favour. However, they failed to move further and as a result - TOP-20.
In the season 2024 MIBR did not have the stars in the sky. The team failed the American RMR and held a series of very unproductive tournaments. They finished in the top 6 at BB Dacha, ESL Challengers 47 SA, ESL Challengers at DreamHack 2024. At CCT Season 1 Global Finals and CCT Season 2 South America it was worse - top 12.
MIBR performed at Esports World Cup 2024, where they failed to make it through the Opening Stage. As a result - TOP-15. They also visited IEM Cologne 2024, where they played in a similar way - TOP-20
MIBR made it to PW Shanghai Major 2024 after playing at American RMR, where they finished TOP-1-2, beating Complexity. PW Shanghai Major 2024: Opening Stage Long They started with an important win over Vp, but then lost to The MongolZ and Passion UA, and then defeated Rare Atom. In the 2-2 basket the team faced MOUZ, where they lost, thus finishing PW Shanghai Major 2024 in the top 12, which is still not a bad result.
The mibr mapplepool
mibr has a pretty narrow pool of cards. Among the most popular are Mirage and Nuke (2 matches and 50% wins on each).
Next is Anubis (5 matches, 2 wins). Among the worst are Inferno and Ancient (3 matches on each and 1 win).
FlyQuest Form
We continue the analysis of FlyQuest vs MIBR match with the analysis of FlyQuest form. In this match they play as an outsider with odds to win around 2.2.
FlyQuest is a new name for the Counter-Strike 2 competitive scene, but a familiar one for the North American eSports scene. The club is known for its League of Legends team and is now ready to expand into the Counter-Strike arena.
The choice of the American club fell on the Australian squad Greyhound. Now the American team is represented by the following players.
- FlyQuest roster: INS, Liazz, Vexite, dexter, regali.
The then Grayhound lineup dominated the home arena in the Pacific region, and not because of this constantly played on the international stage. Thus, in 2023 the Australians played almost everywhere: IEM Katowice 2023, EPL Season 17, BLAST.tv Paris Major 2023, IEM Dallas 2023, EPL Season 18 and so on. However, no significant results were achieved, and the best performance with a stretch can be called TOP-16 at IEM Dallas 2023.
In 2024, they played at several qualifiers, again in their region, and again led, but almost everywhere. Won qualifiers at IEM China 2024, OneQode Frontier, but failed at the most important moment - at RMR. There Ledge and Lynn Vision, thus missing PGL CS2 Major Copenhagen 2024.
IEM China 2024 the team started with a rather unexpected victory over the top 8 PGL CS2 Copenhagen Major 2024, the club C9. Next, they fought Vp, but lost with a 1-2 score and fell to the bottom of the grid. In the match against Nemiga Gaming on two dops won with a score of 2-0, thereby finding themselves in a duel for the exit in play-offs. However, FaZe couldn't be beaten, so FlyQuest finished at the TOP-8. Later there was an appearance at EPL Season 19, with a final top-12 and top-15 at Esports World Cup 2024.
After EWC 2024, FlyQuest played at IEM Cologne 2024, where they finished in the top-24, and after that, they played at ESL Pro League Season 20, where they finished in the top-28. Before playing at Shanghai Major 2024, FlyQuest played at ESL Challenger at DreamHack Atlanta 2024 and ELS Challenger League Season 48: Oceania, where they finished in the Top 1.
At PW Shanghai Major 2024, FlyQuest qualified for the PW Shanghai Major 2024 with a quota from Asia-Pacific, finishing in the top 1 at the local RMR.
Playing at PW: Shanghai Major 2024, FlyQuest performed well, Long Sogpegov with 2-0, but got to 2-2. In the Legend Stage match, they lost 1-2 to MIBR, ending their appearance in the Top 16.
FlyQuest Mapple
FlyQuest are looking good on 3 maps at once. They are Overpass, Vertigo and Anubis with 5 matches and 3 wins on each.
The most played map is Ancient. BIG have played 14 matches there and have 57% wins.
The most unlucky map is Inferno with 2 wins and 2 losses. The worst map is Mirage (9 matches, 33% wins).
History of head-to-head meetings between MIBR and FlyQuest
In the season 2024 the teams played each other 1 time and MIBR won then.
Predicted result of the match FlyQuest - MIBR on BLAST Bounty Season 1
In this match we should expect an equal fight. During the off-season the teams didn't change their line-ups much, and therefore required less time for adaptation. Taking into account the Bo3 format of the meeting, I think the total +2.5 looks like the most probable.
Bottom line: total +2.5.
