Football Betting For Dummies

So the first step is to really know yourself well. Ask yourself the following questions:

How well do I handle stress if losing?
How well do I handle winning?
Am I self-disciplined?
Can I keep my feelings aside and bet based on rational thinking?
How long can I keep on losing and not give up?

And be honest here, there’s nothing wrong if you can’t handle pressure when things aren’t going the way you thought they will. Or if you get way too excited when you win. I was like that when I was first started betting, so I decided I have to change that. How?

Start with small amounts of money, money that you can afford to lose. Figure it out based on your own income not on what the majority of the people will tell you. I started with 10€ a week since that kind of money didn’t really mean anything to me.

I could afford to lose them, thus I wouldn’t have been stressed even if I actually lost them. Do that for yourself. Really, sit down, write down what you think you can afford to lose per week and let’s move on.

So you now know that you can handle the stress, since the money you put in your account to bet with, are just your lunch money, and with or without them you feel fine. Now remember we talked about the three steps to be successful in the Introduction? Let’s review them again:

1. Win money
2. Keep money
3. Repeat the above two

Do you have the discipline to do that over and over again? Can you stick with that 10€ wager every single time, even though you made 1000€ last week? Do you feel tempted to put this time 100€ or even 1000€? Come on you made 1000 out of 10, you will make 100,000 if you had staked 1000!

This is what I am talking about “appetite comes with eating”. The more you have the more you would want to play, so you would have to make some kind of a plan, or a simple “system” that will guide you. No don’t do it in your head. Take out a piece of paper and write it down, or type it on your computer.

Let me give you and example of a system, and based on that example try to make up your very own own. Test it for at least a month or so, and if it isn’t working then change it.

Example:

Rule1. Bet no more than 2€ a day.
Rule2. After 5 consecutive losses rest for a week.
Rule3. After winning 200€ for the week, no matter if it’s still Monday, give it a rest for a day or two.
Rule4. Weekly profit – no more than 100€, weekly losses no more than 10€.

Many players tend to get angry after a horrible loss and try to get even. I’ve done it, believe me you don’t get even, at least most of the time. You go deeper than you can imagine so never ever do that. Leave your feelings at the door, then go sit and bet online. You should be filled with zero emotions.

I know it’s hard when you feel angry, and you see the opportunity to break even with your next bet. Just don’t do it. Stand up, go for a walk or whatever just don’t sit down again trying to find that easy pick that will help you get back on track today. Leave it for tomorrow, when you will feel calm and your judgment will be way more clear.

Now you know how to handle stress, become emotionless and you have a system written down. You do right? Seems you are ready to start betting online. But wait a minute… bet where? Read all on my Bookmaker Reviews Page
