Another good weekend for football betting.
We have some great games in the FA cup and some in the Barclays Premier League, as well as many other around Europe.
From now on, the games become pretty important since we are closer to the end of the season, and every mistake will be vital.
First I will look into the games from the season, and then the ones from the FA Cup.
The games for today are:
Premier league:
Arsenal v Burnley 06/03/2010 15:00 GMT
West Ham v Bolton 06/03/2010 15:00 GMT
Wolverhampton v Manchester United 06/03/2010 17:30 GMT
FA Cup:
Portsmouth v Birmingham 06/03/2010 12:30 GMT
Fulham v Tottenham 06/03/2010 17:20 GMT
Arsenal v Burnley: After loosing two points when visiting Burnley, Arsenal are now ready to serve the payback. The team from London has a home record of 11 wins 1 draw and 2 losses, when both of those losses came from the 1st Chelsea and the 2nd United.
Burnley on the other hand is the team with the worst away record, 0 wins 1 draw and 13 losses. Although I like this team, they clearly can’t offer anything when playing away.
Since the odds for a home win are very low and no good for any bettor I suggest you go with Over 2.5 Goals odds of 1.46 @ Betfair.com. Usually Betfair.com are not the best when it comes to Under/Over odds so be sure to check your Bookmaker as well.
West Ham v Bolton: After Owen Coyle taking the manager spot for Bolton, the team is not have that defensive play style anymore. Away record of 2 wins 3 draw games and 8 losses.
West Ham on the other hand, has a similar style. Home record of 5 wins 4 draws and 4 losses, however in the last 5 games between these two teams 4 of them ended in favor of Bolton, one was a draw. Three of those four were home games for Wanderers but they also won their last visit.
My prediction for this game would be “Both Teams To Score” odds of 2.00 @ Betfair.com
Wolverhampton v Manchester United: This is the last Premier League game for Saturday, but will sure offer us a lot of great moments. The Wolves with a home record of 4 wins 3 draws and 7 losses and a record against United in the last 5 games of 4 losses and 1 win, have a lot to prove tomorrow.
United has had a busy schedule recently. Games from the Champions League away, then an early game for the season, then a final for Carling Cup, then most players had national games in the middle of the week and now they have a game in the league again. Away record of 7 wins 2 draws and 5 losses and an injured Michael Owen that will miss the rest of the season.
Last three wins against the Wolves United won with Clean Sheet. However I think their program is quite hard and they will not be able to keep their goal clean tomorrow.
My prediction would be “Both Teams To Score” in the game odds of 2.22 @ Betfair.com
Now that we are done discussing the games in the Premier League lets focus on the ones in the FA Cup, because they sure seem more interesting.
Portsmouth v Birmingham:Birmingham is having a hard time since the beginning of the year. Only 3 wins in their last 10 games all 3 wins were in the FA Cup, so in the League they have 0 wins in the last 7 games.
Portsmouth is probably going to drop out of Premiership this year, but is playing some of their best games in the FA Cup. Despite their problems I think they will win this one.
My prediction would be home victory for Portsmouth, odds of 2.64 @ Betfair.com
Fulham v Tottenham: The final game of the day, probably the most interesting one as well. The FA Cup has always been a priority for Tottenham. Two draws and one victory over Fulham in the last 3 games and 0 goals in their goal. Crouch, Defoe and Pavlyuchenko are in great shape, which should help the team overall.
My prediction would be an away victory for Tottenham, odds of 2.54 @ Betfair.com
Thanks for reading once again, good luck betting tomorrow, sit tight and enjoy the games.
