English Premier League Weekend Round

A mid-week round of English Premier League is here to warm us up in these cold winter days. A round of Championship is present as well, so when it comes to sports betting, we have a lot of games to choose from today. Here are the four game of EPL today:

Portsmouth v Sunderland 09/02/2010 19:45 GMT
Manchester City v Bolton 09/02/2010 19:45 GMT
Wigan v Stoke 09/02/2010 19:45 GMT
Fulham v Burnley 09/02/2010 20:00 GMT

Portsmouth v Sunderland : Portsmouth currently last, with a lot of financial problems.

If we can trust the media, they are about to go bankrupt in the end of this month. A home record of 3 wins 1 tie and 7 losses and now victory at home since that great game with Liverpool that finished 2:0 on December 19th 2009.

Sunderland on the 13th spot with one of the worst away records of 1 win 2 draws and 9 losses. Both teams already played for FA this year around late January. Portsmouth was able to win with the score of 2:1. Looking over the stats both teams have played 8 times total, 6 victories 1 draw and 1 loss for Portsmouth.

As you can see Portsmouth has a great record against Sunderland, the question is can they keep it up, with this financial problem. My prediction would be a home victory, and I hope they will find a solution to their problems.

Manchester City v Bolton: Horrible weekend round for City, loosing to Hull with 2:1 away. The team has a home record of 8 wins 3 ties and 0 losses, which makes them the only team with Chelsea that still hasn’t lost a game at home. However an away record of 3 wins 5 ties and 3 losses, isn’t something they can be proud of, especially when you take into account the salaries they get paid.

Bolton was able to get out of the red zone, after drawing Fulham at home. However they are just a point away from the 3rd to the last and need points. Away record of 2 wins 2 draws and 6 losses, speaks for itself that they depend on mostly home games.

My prediction would be a home victory for City, which will tie them to the 4th spot with a match less from Liverpool.

Wigan v Stoke: Wigan with a home record of 3 wins, 3 draws and 4 losses will meet Stoke city with an away record of 1 victory, 5 draw games and 5 losses. Wigan close to the red zone, needs something out of this game to move further up.

Stroke with a great victory at home against Blackburn with 3:0.Looking of the statistics seems like these two teams finish tied a lot, 5 of out of their last 12 games. Their last game this December also finished 2:2, which makes me think this game might end up in some similar score. My prediction would be a draw game.

Fulham v Burnley:Fulham with a home record of 7 victories, 2 draws and 3 losses, meets the team with the worst away record of them all Burnley, 0 wins, 1 draw and 11 losses.

Fulham has showed us some great games against Tottenham and Man City, but has been doing poorly away. They rely on their home wins, so most likely they will try to get one today.

Burnley the team that tripped almost all top teams except Chelsea, is visiting again. Their horrible away record is their soft sport, so far 0 wins until now. Looking of the past games, both teams tied earlier in December when Fulham was visiting.

My prediction would be a home victory for Fulham.
