Some great games we had the chance to watch today. As I said yesterday, I believe history to repeats itself. Well I was almost 100% correct, but not exactly ha ha.
Lyon as I expected and predicted, got theirs winning with 1:0. Real proves once again that they have a lot of famous names in their team, but there’s no team. I actually think that since Zidan left, they never had a team after that.
AC Milan started off well with an early goal, and it was controlling the middle well. After the goal from Paul Scholes things changed, but not for good for Milan. Soon in the 2nd half they got a 2nd and a 3rd goal, thus pretty much loosing all hopes for qualifying. At the end Seedorf was able to bring the difference down to 2:3, but I still think AC Milan are out.

FC Porto v Arsenal: These two team have met twice in this phase of the Champions League. Arsenal has been able to qualify both times. However the key to their success has been their home games, since they have only a loss and a draw when visiting in Portugal.
Looking over the current shapes of the teams look like Porto doesn’t know the taste of defeat so far this year. Arsenal on the other hand has had their ups and downs, loosing from the 2 competitors Chelsea and Man United but beating Liverpool.
Once again like last night I will go with the stats here and predict a home win for Porto odds of 2.58 @ Betfair.com
Bayern Munich v Fiorentina: History has met these two only once in the Champions League, with a home win and an away draw game, Bayern was able to qualify.
Watch now closely: since their victory with 4:1 vs Juventus, Bayern has 0 losses, 0 ties. Yup, they have won all 9 games so far which means they are in a superb shape.
You can’t say the same about Fiorentina loosing 3 out of their 4 last games. Actually their last win in Serie A was on the 10th of January, which was over a month ago.
My prediction for this game would be a victory for Bayern Munich odds of 1.52 @ Betfair.com
