Champions League Round

The more interesting games from this week Champions League seem to be on Wednesday.

We would have the distinct pleasure to watch the games between:

CSKA Moscow v Sevilla 24/02/2010 17:30 GMT
Inter v Chelsea 24/02/2010 19:45 GMT

If you are planning on betting, pay attention that the first game is very early at 17:30 GMT.

CSKA Moscow v Sevilla : Have never met before so it would be interesting to watch this game, if they are showing it. CSKA Moscow are still in break, and havent started the 2nd half of the season. This might be a plus since they will be rested. They were able to win in 2/3 of their home games in the group stage, and tying Manchester United 3:3 so they play well at home.

On the other hand Sevilla has had a lot of games since in the beginning of the year. They are performance can be described as stable but not great. My prediction for this games would be a home victory for CSKA Moscow, probably with a minimal lead, odds @2.94 in Betfair.com

Inter v Chelsea: These two have played only one friend game in England that ended 2:0 for Chelsea. I think friendly games are very misleading and shouldn’t be taken in consideration.

Both teams are the leaders in their home leagues, which means both teams are in wonderful shape. What’s even more ironic is that Carlo Ancelotti is an Italian and is well aware of the style that Inter introduces, but in the same time Inter’s manager Jose Mourinho used to lead Chelsea.

This will be an interesting battle, between they two and it will come down to whoever has the better tactic and strategy in the game in my opinion. And when it comes to tactics I think Mourinho is one of a kind. My prediction would be a home victory for Inter, odds of 2.80 @ Betfair.com
