Litex Lovech
The Bulgarian champions started from Qualification Round 2 in Champions League, winning both games against FK Mogren 2:1 and 3:0. However in Round 3 the team met Wisla Krakow and the Polish team was too big of an obstacle. Two losses one in Lovech with 1:2 and one in Krakow 1:3 sent the team down to the play-off stage of Europa League. Manager of Litex Lovech is Lyuboslav Penev once striker for Valencia, who made 167 appearances from 1989 to 1995 and scored 67 goals, continued his career in Atletico Madrid for an year, making 37 appearances and scoring 16 goals. He was part of Bulgarian’s Golden Team from WC 94, and perhaps became the most successful manager from that team. Litex has never managed to surpass the play-off rounds of Champions League and Europa League
Dynamo Kiev
The Ukrainians also started from Qualification Round 2 of the Champions League, and had to face Rubin Kazan, a team that has always been a part of the CL groups in the last couple of years. Two losses with 1:2 and 0:2 sent Dynamo down to Europa League, and they will face now Litex. Unlike their Bulgarian opponent, Dynamo has a lot of achievement in Europe, although most of them far back ago.Twice a winner of the UEFA Cup Winners Cup in 1975 and 1986. Once a winner of the UEFA Super Cup in 1975 and Runner up in 1986. Three times semi-finalist in UEFA Champions League in 1977, 1987, 1999 and six times quarter-finalist in 1973, 1976, 1982, 1983, 1992, 1998.
Prediction
Sportsbooks appoint Dynamo as a clear favorite, giving the Ukrainian team odds to win of 1.66 (bet365).
I believe this should be your banker for today, as the odds are great, the probabilities as well. Litex has been twice in the play-off stage of Europa League and has never managed to win the home game ( 2 losses ). The loss to Wisla Krakow was also a good indicator that the team is not in peak form, and I consider their next opponent Dynamo, a much better team than the Polish club.
Let’s not forget that forward Andriy Shevchenko, plays there since 2009, has made 40 appearances and has score 20 goals.
My prediction a victory for Dynamo Kiev with a difference.
