The star of the night is definitely Fernando Torres, who scored the only goal in the game between Villa and Liverpool in the 90th minute!
The game was on it’s way to end 0:0 when Liverpool took advantage of a bad pass, which lead to a cross for Torres and after that, you can guess what happened

Congratulations on Liverpool for their second consecutive win from a long time this year! What a great way to actually end the year! Rafael Benitez promised in front of the media, that Liverpool WILL finish in the Top 4 this year!
They showed improvement winning these two games, but the season is far from over, and they would have to work harder!
What can we say about Aston Villa? They played really really well tonight, and only the chance or the bad luck, prevent them from scoring!
In my honest opinion they deserved to end the year with at least a point, but sometimes luck plays an important role in the game! However this shouldn’t discourage them, and they should keep their heads up, because they really put up a fight!
