A brilliant Joe Hart(goalie) for Manchester City the first game, and maybe only his saves helped City to come out of that game with Tottenham clean.

The Spurs made an attempt to score from the very first minute and continued to the end of the first half. Second half, Manchester City came out transformed and started pushing as well.

Created lots of good opportunities but wasn’t able to score any. The team seemed happy with the point they’ve got and scratched off the list one of the toughest opponents.

Liverpool went out against Arsenal and did really well during the first half. A minute after the second half started Ngog made the score 1:0 for Liverpool, and in the 90th minute an own goal from Pepe Reina robbed Liverpool from the victory.

City and Liverpool have met numerous time, where the last three games have ended draw. The last 6 games on this stadium have ended three times 0:0, 1 victory for city with 1:0 and two victories for Liverpool with 1:0 and 2:3. From those 6 games, 5 have ended Under 2.5 Goals, and 5 have ended “One or Neither will score”

What’s expected to happen in this match?

Judging from the previous round, both teams seem to be in a similar shape, but I think Liverpool has the edge. Although City was playing away and Liverpool was playing at home, I do believe there are new players in City and they still need to get used to the team.

I expect a great battle in midfield and while both teams expirience trouble on defense they’ve got two great goalies.

The Betting Verdict?

Under 2.5 Goals @ 1.71 (Register at Betfair.com): The stats from the previous six games on this stadium, the great goalies and the equality of both teams, makes me think that this game can go either way, with just a goal or two.
