After a terrible weekend, where Norwich lost at home to Watford with 2:3, it’s time for some improvement and we might see it today in the qualification game for Carling Cup against Gillingham.

Norwich had, hell of a season last year, becoming the champion of League 1 and getting promoted to Championship. They were expected to start off better, but perhaps the pressure of the new league caught up with them.

Their current manager is Paul Lambert, you might know him from Celtic since he used to coach them for 8 years, from 1997 to 2005. Despite the bad season start with a loss at home, I believe the class between these two teams is miles apart.

Gillingham, if it doesn’t ring any bells is because they are a team from League 2 in England. They tied their first game, so they aren’t in an optimal shape yet as well.

The Betting Verdict?

Backing Norwich to win @ 1.53 (Betfair.com): The Home factor, the difference between the two teams and the importance of the game all lead to only one outcome of this game: a win for Norwich.
