After the convincing victory with 4:0 in Turkey, Valencia unluckily lost to Manchester United at home with 0:1, and now has to visit Rangers in Scotland.

Rangers who somehow managed to finish 0:0 on Old Trafford and then beat Bursaspor at home with the minimal 1:0, are taking the first spot with Manchester United, both with 4 points and an equal goal difference.

What’s unfortunate for Rangers here is that they have only won four out of the 22 matches in European competitions against Spanish sides in Europe and none of the last 11.

Rangers have also met Valencia in four games in Europe, losing three and drawing one. And while Ranger’s statistics is quite bad, Valencia has won 10 out of the last 16 games against Scottish teams.

Judging by the way both teams play so far, I am expecting a dominating Valencia during the whole game. The team is eager to get out of the group, and winning this away game might be the ticket for that.

Here are some more interesting facts about both teams:

* Rangers have failed to score more than once in any of their last 11 matches in Europe.

* Valencia have failed to score in five of their last six matches in the Champions League.

* The Spanish side have won only two of seven European trips to Scotland, and lost on their last visit to Celtic in December 2001.

Prediction?

Valencia to win @ 2.14 (Bet with the highest odds at Betfair.com – 25£ FREE BET): Due to the class difference of both teams, and judging by what I have seen so far, I think these big odds for Valencia are more than a gift.
