Two teams that don’t share a lot of history between each other.

While Serbia was former Yugoslavia, both teams met back in 1997 at home where Ghana lost with 3:1 in a friendly.

It has past a lot of time since then now,and these two teams are determined to do everything possible to qualify out of the groups.

Obviously the key player for Serbia will be the well familiar Manchester United defender Nemanja Vidic. He is confident in his team and says that they have enough players who participated back in WC 2006. He also acknowledges Ghana’s potential and that it won’t be an easy game at all.

On the other hand Ghana will be forever grateful to Asamoah Gyan for scoring the first goal on a World Cup for Ghana. He is presence here will expire a lot of his teammates. The African team will have a lot of support as well so thing might be a slight advantage.

So what can we expect from this game and what should we bet on?

Well remember when I talked about forming trends and the ability to spot them?(if not read my article: Follow the trend The trend that has formed from the first 5 games is Under 2.5 Goals.

Having in mind that both teams will be careful here, trying to outsmart each other more than outplay each other might lead to low goal opportunities and goals as well. The bookmakers seems to have spotted that trend as well, and the odds for “Under 2.5 Goals in this game are 1.47 (Bet365.com)

I’d say go with it, and bet on it while it’s still all right for playing, because it will go lower for sure.

As the outcome of the game, I am expecting the Serbians to dominate in this group next to Germany so I am expecting a victory but with a minimum difference of 1:0.

However I suggest you stick with the safe bet here:

Prediction: “Under 2.5 Goals”    Odds: 1.47    Bookmaker: Bet365.com
