Exactly one month remains, before the start of Copa America 2011. Argentina is the host this year, and will open the tournament at 00:45+ GMT with a game against Bolivia. Manager Sergio Batista announced the squad yesterday, so we know who is going to be present.

Manager Batista released his list to the public, of which 26 players he has chosen for Copa America. Carlos Tevez will be present, although the Argentinian was left out of the squad for the friendly against Paraguay, won with 4:2.

Lionel Messi is on the list, as everyone has expected. Messi comments that he has won everything on an individual level with Barcelona, and hopes to do the same with his national team, starting with winning Copa America. Will not be an easy task, as the last victory of CA for Argentina was back in 1993 in Ecuador.

Here’s the full squad listed below:

Juan Pablo Carrizo (Argentina River Plate) Sergio Romero (Netherlands AZ Alkmaar)
Mariano Andújar (Italy Catania).

Javier Zanetti (Italy Internazionale) Nicolás Burdisso (Italy Roma)
Ezequiel Garay (Portugal Benfica) Pablo Zabaleta (England Manchester City)
Nicolás Pareja (Russia Spartak de Moscou) Gabriel Milito (Spain Barcelona)
Marcos Rojo (Russia Spartak de Moscou) Luciano Monzón (Argentina Boca Juniors)

Ángel Di María (Spain Real Madrid) Javier Mascherano (Spain Barcelona)
Esteban Cambiasso (Italy Internazionale) Ever Banega (Spain Valencia)
Fernando Gago (Spain Real Madrid) Javier Pastore (Italy Palermo)
Enzo Pérez (Argentina Estudiantes de La Plata) Lucas Biglia (Belgium Anderlecht)
Diego Valeri (Argentina Lanús)

Lionel Messi (Spain Barcelona) Sergio Agüero (Spain Atlético Madrid)
Carlos Tévez (England Manchester City) Diego Milito (Italy Internazionale)
Gonzalo Higuaín (Spain Real Madrid) Ezequiel Lavezzi (Italy Napoli)

Squad looks solid, in midfield and offense. Defense looks weak as usual, but time will show. One thing is sure, fans want victories and a trophy. What better opportunity than now, when Argentina will be playing at home.
