Bet on Spanish Primera Division with Bet365.com

Lacking of games today, or at least what I would call “quality betting games”.

There are plenty of other unknown teams that are playing today, but come on, as a football bettor how well do you know any of these teams?

So there’s nothing left for me to do today, but to focus on the Spanish Primiera Division and find you some good bets worth playing.

So do we have today anyways? Here they are :

Almeria v Real Madrid 15/04/2010 19:00 BST
Valencia v Athletic Bilbao 15/04/2010 21:00 BST

Almeria v Real Madrid: Well the bookmakers are killing us here, making Real Madrid the undoubtful favorite for this games with odds around 1.29 – 1.35.
Five games between these two in the past 3 years, 3 ended as victory for Real Madrid, but the other 2 they lost one and tied one. What’s interesting is, when Almeria was a host, they didn’t loose in both of their games.

So to make things clear, Real Madrid has no victory over Almeria as a guest in two games. What’s even more interesting is that Almeria, is doing terrific at home, beating Atletico Madrid with 1:0, tying with Barcelona 2:2, and tying Mallorca with 1:1. So suddenly this easy away win seems quite fishy… in terms of betting.

Now looking at the statistics, as a safe bet you can with Both Teams To Score @ 1.86.

However I believe that there’s another good bet, with great odds and risk-reward ratio.

Prediction: “Double chance: 1X”    Odds: 3.50    Bookmaker: Bet365.com

Valencia v Athletic Bilbao: Two teams that share a good amount of history. Valencia, being eliminated from Europa league, has now one and only priority to stay on the 3rd spot for Champions League placement next year.

Home record of 9 victories 5 draws and only 1 loss, is an outstanding record, although those draws hurt the points a little. Bilbao on the other hand is on the 6th spot with the away record of 4 wins 4 draws and 8 losses, and is only a point ahead of the 7th Getafe. The sixth place guarantees them playing in Europa League next year, so every point from now on is important.

Direct games between the two are quite colorful, few recent wins for Valencia, followed by a long line of losses around 2007-8. I think Valencia will go out tonight and will play for the victory, as they have done before against Ossasuna, Malaga, Almeria. In the same time, Bilbao, will go for the goal as well looking for something more than a loss here.

A home victory might be a logical choice of bet, but I prefer sticking with Both Teams to Score on this one.
