As the Premiership season is almost over, the value of the matches becomes greater and the mistakes, fatal.
On Saturday, one against another will come out the teams of Manchester City and Aston Vila.
Currently Villa is taking the 5th place with a match more than City, and only a point ahead of them.
Both Manchester City (6th) and Tottenham (4th) have 35 matches, and have a direct game as well.
Tottenham have an easier opponent at home in the face of Bolton, this is why City will have to put a lot of effort in this game.
Manchester City v Aston Villa 01/05/2010 15:00 BST
A long history between these two teams, in which City has more wins but Villa is not to be under estimated. The team from Birmingham has won 2 of their 9 visits in the last 10 years. Although their chance for getting on the 4th spot are minimal, I am sure Aston Villa will show teeth on Saturday.
In the same time Mancini’s team will have to win this one for sure, if they want to stay close to Tottenham, before the direct game and play in Champions League next year. Luckily for City , they are hosting both games and as their home record shows ,11 wins 4 draws 2 loss, they are playing quite well on home turf.
Losses at home from United with 0:1 and Everton 0:2 might have struck their self-esteem a little, but that’s all in the past, and the future is what matters.
I am expecting an open game, with Manchester City coming strong in attack and winning this one.
