A great day and some quite interesting games.
Some of the football betting predictions were quite off, but I expected more from certain teams.
I am quite surprised that Manchester City, didn’t take an advantage of how weak now Arsenal is, with so many players being injured.
They could have had a comfortable lead of 1-2 points, before their final direct games with Villa and Tottenham all battling for the 4th spot.
But anyways let’s see what we have for tomorrow:
Aston Villa v Birmingham 25/04/2010 12:00 BST
Burnley v Liverpool 25/04/2010 15:00 BST
Everton v Fulham 25/04/2010 15:00 BST
Chelsea v Stoke 25/04/2010 16:00 BST
Aston Villa v Birmingham: The local Birmingham derby, which is always quite interesting. Looking over the statistics, seems like both teams score a lot of goals when Villa is a host.
Villa has had a lot of draw games at home this season, a whopping 8, just 1 less than Birmingham. Although that’s not so bad, each one of them is like loosing two points.
Given the circumstances, I am expecting Villa to be looking for that victory at all cost, because of the battle for the 4th spot.
Prediction: “Aston Villa – home win” Odds: 1.68 Bookmaker: Betfair.com
Burnley v Liverpool: Well I didn’t get that surprise I was hoping for today on Barcelona, but I do think you have a better chance in this game. You are familiar with Burnley’s capabilities to disappoint top teams when visiting, and in the same time Liverpool has a game from Europa League this Thursday, and they might wanna focus on that.
Burnley with a home record of 6 wins 5 draws and 6 losses, has had a lot of troubles lately, but they keep the hopes of staying in Premiership next year. They were able to beat Liverpool once for FA cup, in 2005.
Liverpool on the other hand has been very unconvincing this year especially in the away games. I am expecting an open game, with Burnley striving for that victory.
Prediction: “1X – Burnley or draw” Odds: 2.20 Bookmaker: Bet365.com
Everton v Fulham:Not a lot can be said about this game, except that it’s probably one of the safest home wins for tomorrow. Why? Well Everton has been showing a great shape lately especially in the home games, and the record of 9 wins 6 draws and 2 losses can back my words.
In the same time Fulham is one of the worst visiting teams sitting in the middle of the table with 1 win 7 draws and 9 losses. Not to mention the fact that they have a semi-final on Thursday for Europa League.
Prediction: “Everton – home win” Odds: 1.41 Bookmaker: Betfair.com
Chelsea v Stoke: The leader until today Chelsea, has a chance again to get that fragile lead in front of United, if they manage to beat Stoke City. Unfortunately for all football bettors, the home win odds are incredibly low here and they are not worth playing. Thus we will have to look around at the statistics and find ourselves something better for betting.
So far these two teams have played 5 times, and Chelsea has won all 5 of them, so this probably explains the low odds. Three out of these games have ended 2:0 , so might not be illogical to go for that Under 2.5 Goals bet or , only one side will score.
I will go here for the Asian Handicap, Chelsea -2.0, which means that I am expecting Chelsea to win with 3 goals. If they however manage to win only by 2, the bet is off and your money are refunded.
Prediction: “Chelsea -2.0″ Odds: 1.86 Bookmaker: Betfair.com
