I have made my Football Predictions for today, but with the disclaimer that today’s games are International Friendlies.
These matches are nothing like the real deal, and I advise you be cautious when you are planning on betting.
There are few things that you need to know, about friendlies.
Some of them you might now, because they are obvious, some of them may seem as speculations but they are real.
First, friendlies are not big deal. Usually the coaches have carefully picked an opponent, so they can test new players, new strategies and etc. Therefore a possible loss is always expected and it’s not a big deal if it occurs. This is why, it’s kind of dangerous to be football betting on such games. If this however is not a good enough reason for you keep on reading.
Another purpose of a friendly game is to give your team a self-esteem. A possible victory against a better team, can greatly pump up the team, boost their self-esteem, and make them perform better in general. Why? Because the psychological barrier would be gone. However that’s not always possible with just good faith, and well played game. Sometimes money play a role as well.
Yes my friends a lot of the friendlies now days are fixed, just because they are not that important for one of the teams. Now as ridiculous this might seem I do have friends playing for national teams, and I have asked them around about this and that. Another motive for selling such a game, is a poor federation. A lot of non-European federations do not have the funds that we have around here, and are willing to make some extra cash.
This is why a lot of time friendly results are illogical and no statistics in the world would help you figure out the outcome of the game. While this is just me expressing my own opinion, you may choose to believe in it or completely ignore it. Either way, take a moment to think about it, and analyze it yourself.
