In the same day, of the World Cup 2010 opening few hours the first game, will be played the second game.
Raymond Domenech and his France will have to face, Diego Forlan and company. Strangely enough, Karim Benzema wasn’t called up for France, which surprised a lot of fans.
Domenech had his reasons and pointed out that Benzema had a pretty lousy season in Real Madrid, while the boys from Lyon and Bordeaux had a blast in Champions League and deserve to be playing on the World Cup 2010 Finals.
So what’s to expect from this game?
Well obviously France is considered the favorite for this group as well as the favorite for this group. However Samir Nasri would also miss out this World Cup, and he seems to bring all of the creativity France needs. Without him, I doubt they will reach their full potential.
What about Uruguay? Coach Oscar Tabarez has a lot of options here, having quality players like Diego Forlan (Atl Madrid) and Luis Suarez (Ajax), Diego Lugano (Fenerbahche) and many more.
Can El Maestro do his magic as a coach here? Uruguay hasn’t been able to advance past last 16th since 1970 in Mexico.
Here’s what I expect to happen in this game. Both teams will try to explore each other as fast as they can and get down to business. I am expecting early goals due to both teams having troubles in defense.
If the roosters can manage to be more creative, they are sure to win this one. The odds are great, so be sure to bet on this game as I expect no surprises (at least not a lot) in the group stages.
