The favorite to win the World Cup this year Spain, is of course the favorite in this group. I am not exactly sure why all bookmakers favor them, but perhaps it’s because they won Euro 2008 and have quality players as well.
By tradition no team from Europe has won the World Cup outside of Europe, so this is some tough history to beat.
The first game from this group will be played on June 16th between Honduras and Chile. The second one is in the same day between Spain and Switzerland.
I have no doubt about who is going to take the first spot here, the question is which other team will qualify with Spain.

Spain has quite low odds, but at least you can almost 100% that they will come true. In fact you should probably combine the 1.30 and the 1.06 to get an accumulated bet with odds of 1.38, which can lead to some serious cash, if you bet a serious amount of money.
I have no view over Switzerland, but they do not have typically and traditions. We had a chance to see them while they were hosting Euro 2008 with Austria, but they didn’t shine at all. Their only success was winning the last game over Portugal, which everyone thought was a gift, since Portugal were already sure qualifiers.
Chile, as every South American team has its traditions. I personally would vouch for them taking the 2nd spot and thus qualifying. The odds of 1.69 seem good enough for a casual bet on them.
Honduras, is a team I have never seen to play, nor I have heard a player from there. With odds of 1000 to win the World Cup, they stand next to the level of New Zealand and North Korea. I wouldn’t put much hope in them, since the group is tough.
